hose with the proprietary quick connect , the second hose is a larger diameter hose with a 2 1/4 inch end that will work with more traditional shop vacuum tools and would connect up to a Dust Deputy without any effort. The 2 hose that come with the DWV010X are very different, one has the same roughly 1 1/2 inch O.D. It does not have the variable suction feature. The DWV010 has 4 small casters and it reminds me of a mop bucket with it's shape and how it rolls. It also has a roughly 1 1/2 inch outside diameter hose with a proprietary quick coupler on it. Both feature a tool start/ vacuum start ability with a run after cutoff delay. The DWV012 has variable suction 2 large wheels, 2 casters and a collapsible handle allowing it to be moves similar to a 2 wheel hand truck. Both have dual filters with the self cleaning feature. ![]() The DWV012 is a 10 gallon unit and the DWV010 is a 8 gallon. I got both from Bollard Tools (who ships via FedEx, not USPS or UPS), the listing for the DWV010X is: I recently picked up both a DWV012 and a DWV010, both through Ebay, and it was a DWV010X model in particular which comes with 2 hoses. ![]() Ridgid's vacs draw a lot of power and require separate circuits from high draw tools, that's the only downside.įigured that out real quick with my ridgid vac, when I had it in the same line as my OMT I went from about 10000 to 6000 opms lol and I didn't touch the dial Only thing you can't take away from them is the ones that have the tool actuated switches, that is no lie a sweet feature. To grind that floor, about 1,500 sq ft, I had to completely disassemble that vac and clean it out like 6 times even with all that fancy dual stage cleaning crap. I've used a high end dust extractor with a floor grinder (like a $800 unit), had fancy rare earth magnets to shank the dual stage filters clean, and cost me a lot of money to rent. The issue with regular vac's is that they filters clog quickly causing a loss in CFM, but using it with the dust deputy means you get the best of both worlds, clean filters meaning superior CFM while keeping your contents in a separate container. Personally I'm thinking about going with one of Ridgid's 6.5hp vac's which are rated at 200 CFM, and using it in combination with a Dust Deputy. ![]() 150 is standard issue ratings and 130 would IMO be subpar. It might have received a update raising the original CFM.

For the full scouting report on Nottingham, read my interview with BP's California League scout Wilson Karaman. Evaluators seem to think his improvement behind the plate this year will augur well for his chances to stay there long term. He's calling pitches and meeting before games to go over scouting reports, and is continuing to develop his chops behind the plate. Although his regular catching routine was broken in the wake of the trade, he's now settled back into his regular pre-game work: blocking and receiving etc. On the field, the transition has been smooth as well. "I still have a long way to go," he explained, "but I'm just trying to sit one pitch and take advantage of it." Like many power hitters, Nottingham has a long swing that's dependent on timing and some guesswork, so something as simple as looking fastball, on the outer-third of the plate can have a profound effect. It may sound like a cliche, but it's the same thing I've heard from other players, including Red Sox catching prospect Austin Rei, who credited his offensive improvement at the University of Washington to looking for specific pitches in specific zones, and adjusting to the rest. ![]() Focusing on good contact and hitting the ball where it's pitched." There's also a dedicated duels mode from the starting menu, where you can customise battlefields and hazards to do battle with an assembly of pre-built armies, but without someone to hotseat with, I preferred the campaign for my AI battling.Īs you go through the campaign, you start off with an army of three, and expand your selection from battle rewards and shops, along with passive abilities and new hand actions for healing and harming. Jokes can wear down over time, but there's something affectionate in the suggestion of why people play competitive games together that sustains Inkulinati's tone beyond the rabbit butts.Įach act ends with a duel: your Tiny versus another, with their own special abilities, and their own willingness to bump you off the map. They're playing Dante, they're playing tiny armies, and they're playing the shopkeeper who can be bribed with cookies. It's the celebration of that very human desire to doodle in the margins, and to imagine strange and delightful things, but there's also a spirit of 'yes and' in the dialogue that makes it feel like all your opponents and shopkeepers and event characters are just another person playing game master. There's a consistent sense throughout the game of real people having fun, the idea of the characters playing the game who aren't you at the computer. You draw new units, pen in hand, or swipe enemies off the map, or crush them under your fist - but these actions are limited to the area around your Tiny, and if they get killed, that's the fight over. So in Tiny vs Beast battles, in addition to your army of beasts, you have a Tiny Inkulinati, like a little marginaliasona, equipped with their own special actions. The two other kinds of battle give away what is particularly unique about Inkulinati: you aren't playing as an army of odd little creatures you're playing as the person drawing them. There is great joy in lining up units and obstacles for a tactical shove (except, of course, when it happens at my expense, in which case it's cheating, and terrible.) If there is no empty space, they slide right off the battlefield, squealing as they go. There is a very real - and entirely intentional - strategy in that 'pushed' characters simply slide along until they encounter the first empty space in that direction. With no set turn order, there's no way of knowing who plans to act next, and you have to prioritise carefully: who is in the biggest risk in their current position? Can I put them to sleep? Can I kill them? Can I shove them out of the way? Or better: can I shove them off the map, or into encroaching fire? ![]() If all of one side's units are asleep, then the other side just keeps playing. Each side takes it in turns to play one unit - who can move within their range, and then act, before going to sleep. With its small health pools, smaller damage pools, and round-limiting apocalyptic threats, play in Inkulinati requires intentional turn taking and positioning to get the chaos desired. Watch on YouTube Here's an Inkulinati trailer to show it in action. It's your army of (up to) five versus the enemy army, and the first to eliminate the other wins - unless an apocalypse snares you both. It's easiest to explain how combat works with the most straightforward type of battle in Inkulinati: beast battles. I spent most of my time with Inkulinati's Journey Mode, a single-player campaign divided into acts where each notch on the road is a different kind of battle, or event. ![]() It's the weird and wonderful world of "things people drew in the margins of manuscripts hundreds of years ago", weaponised. And that's before you get to the less coherent creatures. Foxes steal resources from their targets. So rabbits have the helpful turn-skipping debuff of mooning their opponents. Availability: Out January 31 on PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S (Early Access). This is, I promise you, very serious tactics, and arguably the heart of Inkulinati: thoughtfully tactical, and uncompromisingly absurd. ![]() Medieval marginalia strategy game Inkulinati holds the unique honour of being the only game to make me lament, out loud: "Oh no, he's not in my butt range." Overwhelmed in number, I was hoping to force a minotaur-esque beast on the opposing army to take a nap (and skip their turn) by using my rabbit swordsman to moon them. A rare balance of playfulness and genuine strategic depth, plucked from the margins of history. Human beings have alway created written messages-a lack of paper and proper writing tools never stopped us. They just did it by hand, with a lot of patience and dedication. Yet even before printing techniques existed, people were still determined to create books or type-based posters. Movable type was invented in the early 15th century thanks to Johannes Gutenberg, and revolutionized typography by allowing the mass production of printed materials. Via Pentagram.īut it wasn’t always about technology. Keeping it simple with big and bold typography is always a good choice. Thanks to technology, typography and its rules are being challenged each day by new generations of designers who are envisioning letters in ways we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago. This can be done quickly and easily using laptops, computers and even phones. This process requires the designer to go through a series of decisions like selecting the proper typeface, choosing the point size, adjusting kerning and line spacing and coming up with a layout that makes sense.
